HEATWAVE

Mandaluyong City, Philippines

Bringing together a diverse group of Australian and Southeast Asian ceramic artists,Heatwave showcases the different firing methods that ceramic artists practice, such as wood, gas, and open pit firing. The artists' treatment in temperature, the atmospheres in the kiln, and skill in firing, profoundly influence the overall visual quality of the work. The exhibition highlights the vast range in techniques and processes that greatly contribute to the unique character of each artist’s works.
